Privacy Policy

1. Overview

QuickFill ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that reads clipboard data and fills matching form fields on web pages. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

QuickFill does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

• Clipboard contents or any data you paste
• Form data or values filled into web pages
• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Browsing history or URLs you visit
• Keystrokes, mouse activity, or user behavior
• Device information or IP address
• Cookies or any persistent identifiers

3. How the Extension Works

When you click "Read Clipboard", the Extension reads your clipboard contents into temporary memory (a JavaScript variable) within the extension popup. This data is used solely to preview detected key-value pairs on screen.

When you click "Fill Form", the Extension injects a script into the active tab that matches your clipboard keys to form fields and fills them. Once the popup is closed, all clipboard data is immediately discarded from memory.

No data is ever written to disk, sent to a server, or retained in any way.

4. Permissions Explained

• activeTab — Allows access to the current tab only, and only when you explicitly click "Fill Form". No background access.
• scripting — Used to inject the form-filling script into the active tab on demand. Never runs automatically.
• clipboardRead — Used only when you click "Read Clipboard". Your clipboard is never read in the background.
• Host permissions (<all_urls>) — Required so the extension can fill forms on any website you choose to use it on. No data from any site is collected or transmitted.

5. Third-Party Services

QuickFill does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs. The Extension operates entirely offline with no network requests of any kind.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties. There is no data to share — nothing is collected in the first place.

7. Children's Privacy

QuickFill does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As no data is collected, the Extension is safe for all ages.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make any material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
